I was in IH/CNH parts from 1960 to 2007, I can tell you from experience that it was constantly changing, at the dealer level you just figured it out best you could, F20 catalog was very different from Farmall M, then same for all implements, Trucks was almost always same set-up, but they had their quirks also, the funniest in trucks was propellor shafts, everybody else in the world called them driveshafts. The farm equip was always being changed, combines are always in state of modification. I am not impressed with the newer combine parts layout, since the 8010 its really difficult to look up. Now the new 30 series has a grape basket LOL.
