Either way the 15.5's won't be too much for a good 350...as long as you can mount the wide rims on your cast centers. A stock 350 has as much if not more power than an old straight M. The 15.5's are the same diameter as the "factory stock" 13.6's that usually came on 350's. True, 15.5's were the "stock size" for 450's...and a lot of times they were too small just like they were too small for 560's too. The 15.5's were okay in that they didn't change the speeds when they replaced the old 12-38's..and they were wider giving more traction, BUT... a lot of 400's and even the Super M's and MTA's before them came with 13-38's (here in Michigan at least) and they were a lot taller tire and when compared to the 13-38's's, the 15.5-38's looked noticeably smaller to prospective buyers and a lot of them didn't especially like that. I'm an "old Farmall guy" and I remember that from working part-time at a dealership (Russell Stevens Co., Hanover, Michigan) in those days..1955-1957.
