The 1086 was shifting kind of clunky and loose so I took it to the dealer this morning and told them to 'have at it'. She's my loader tractor now and you know how much shifting that involves.
I knew what had to be done, I had done this job on this tractor myself maybe 15-20 years ago (it has a twitch over 15000 hours now) but I'm 15-20 years older now, and maybe a little lazier too, sooo! They called this afternoon and said they were done already so this evening Marilyn took me down there to get it. I'd forgotten how nice it shifts when everything is tight and new. Slips into park so easy I thought something was wrong, but if I remember right there was an update on that to make it easier. They also adjusted the clutch so that'll take some getting used to. Gonna load about 20 truckloads of loose dirt with it Sunday so I'd better get used to it quick. Jim
