Well, welcome to the age old argument. volts are volts, 12 or may be a little bit less. But the amp do all the work, "ie" cold cracking amps, now for watts that is power in a unit of time. it sound to me that the battier is getting to weak, if you were to check it chance are that it is down in a cell. now i use in my tractor two 6 volt to get my 12 volts and a steadier amps for cold starting.
