If you could go back in time, and visit the factory and actually watch those brand new Farmall Hs coming down the assembly line, and then observe the decals being applied, I'd bet you could stand right there all day long, maybe even for several days, and you would not be able to detect even a subtle variance in the placement or location of those decals. Those assembly line workers were very proud of the work they did, and if they messed it up, the mistake would be caught at the final inspection and that tractor would be side-lined and directed to a "repair" area. I'm sure there were some slight tolerances allowed, but nothing that would be easily discernible to the common lay person. The worker who did not take pride in his work back in those days was usually shown the door rather quickly.
