My IH 400D leaked all the diesel out of the tank into the oil pan. It had been setting for about 2 MO and when I checked all the fluids they were good. Run the tractor for about two hr. it run great. Went to start it today and the oil was way over full, I could till it had diesel in it. When I checked the diesel tank it was empty. I know this tractor has a lift pump on the back of the injector pump. Could that be the problem? The oil in the injection pump was full of diesel also. I think this happened when the tractor was not running, would that make any difference? Does anyone know what else might cause this and how hard and costly is it to fix? Thanks for any feed back.
