Skeeter....the C rims are mounted with 6 or 8 bots and nuts. The original rims have mounts that are riveted to the rim, and then they are bolted onto the hubs. I wouldn't be afraid of the blank rims. I'd bet that if you're really wanting to be "original" that you could drill the rivets out of your old rims and then redrill the new and rivet them back in, or if you don't really care, you could simply weld them in place. One more suggestion.....I have a C that the calcium had fouled up....I had another old rim...I cut out a replacement piece and welded in my rim, ground smooth and you'd never notice it now....If bought one new rim, you'd probably have more than enough to do both rims....just a thought. If you choose this route, you'll have to drill a new hole for your valve stem...I did mine a few years ago, and has worked fine every since. I know I'm going on and on, but was just sitting here thinking...You could take your old rims off, drill the rivets out, rebolt the mounts to the hubs, and then set the new rims in place (using some kind of spacers to make sure every part is even), tack weld, unbolt, and rivet, grind off the tack welds, and you'd have perfect new rims.
