Red, I agree with you on the price. He's way high for my money. Still.... I checked the serial number against the reference book HE had at his place and it said 1949. It had a magneto instead of a distributor. (Dad's 49 JD B came with a mag.) The H also had the funny-looking carburetor with the drain petcock on the bowl for when you forgot to switch back to gas while shutting it down the night before.
