Don"t know the correct name for the 1 1/8" or so tube that connects at the back of the engine oil pump then up turns with a 90 then ties into the casting on the back side of the oil cooler. Anyway, the I have a leak from the tube on the back side of the joint that ties to the casting with 2 bolts. It will leak a 1/2 cup or so before the motor gets warm enough and some times it stops after the motor is at operating temp. I have replaced the orings three times in the lst year or so. When I had the tube off I assembled it and made sure there wasn"t any thing bent out of place. When I bolted it together there wasn"t any binding at all. Where the o ring sets it looks fine, no groove at all. Still leaks in the same place. The last two times I replaced the O rings I took rtv silicone and run a good bead around the outside of the tube into the groove where the tube sets. Let it dry several days before I started the tractor and within 5 minutes it was leaking again from the same spot on the back. Is there a lot pressure and oil flow in this tube? Do I need to just get a new tube and end piece and start over? Can I put a small bead of rtv on the O ring itself before I put it together? The bottom o ring at the oil pump holds fine.
