Fast Hitch convert to non-traction control???

Is there a way to convert the traction-control to to non-traction-control? I found that most of the ones are broken like mine and am wondering if I just disconnect handle linkage and leave it(the drawbar) move back and forth. Has anybody done this and does it work or will it cause havoc???Thanks for any input. MARVIN(MN)
