Cory, I own and have owned many H's, M's, WD-9s, gas 9's etc: Over the years I have installed the live pumps myself or purchased the tractors with them on. First, they deliver very good hydraulic power to your implement. Next, they are quick. Do they "rob" a little power from your engine? Well, In my years of experience I would say not noticeably. If your H is a "keeper" and you use the little guy for mowing or raking or something like that you will love the constant power compared to a belly pump. Price? Well, I hate to be quoted on prices as they vary so much. However, you must have been quoted a price for a brand new pump, complete with hose, (return line, tank, valve, etc:)and unfortunately, brand new they are probably not too far off on that price. However, they can't be selling too many of that type of pump these days so I would try to bargain with them somewhat. Good Luck to you.
