560 5th gear slips out

I recently broke down and spent the money and time putting in a rebuilt TA in my 560 diesel. I've done quite a bit of mechanic work so I'm pretty confident I got everything back together right but since then the 560 slips out of 5th gear frequently. What are the chances that the gear on the back of the rebuilt TA was machined beyond tolerance? Is there a fix short of replacing another TA??
