Mr. Bazzar, First, the surest and best way to tell if head is cracked is to pull the head off. Not very complicated or difficult to do. Best advice is to take some close up pics of the side of head where your starting levers hook up. No problems later when assembling. Head should be "fluxed" by any good machine shop. Older tractor parts yards here in North Dakota have these heads or any reliable older tractor parts dealer on the net has them. That is, if and only if the head is cracked. Doubtful on a WD6 but I suppose could happen. Next: to get this engine unstuck try this. Remove front grill and hood. Remove top hose from radiator/block. Use a longer hose, turn it "up" to hold water. Pour boiling, and I mean boiling water directly into block. Use a proper fitting wrench with a cheater handle 3 ft long or more to pry directly down on crank about 3 or 4 minutes after you have filled block with hot water. After the engine turns over then it is a matter of starting it on gas, then when its properly warmed you switch the two levers up to diesel. After two or three days of running it you can tell if the head is cracked if: Puffs of white smoke, poor power, hard starting, and lastly the sure sign, if your radiator goes down that water passing through the head is going somewhere, ie cracked head. Hope you have good luck, they are a good little tractor and don't worry about putting a few dollars into them. With a decent valve job they run and run for years with little upkeep. Good Luck.
