Red parts in the picture are M&W, also the shifter and front of the transmission input shaft not colored red. Ones with lever shift have a shift lever made different on the end than what the one in the picture has at cable attaching point. Lower shaft in the transmission drives gears for speeds 1 through 4 and reverse. M&W uses two sets of gears to drive the lower shaft. When shifted one set of lower shaft driving gears at a time is locked to the lower shaft. One set drives the lower shaft at the standard IH speed. Other set drives the lower shaft faster than standard speed. When in the high speed side gears 1 to 4 and reverse speeds up the top transmission shaft which ends up driving the wheels faster. In case you don't already know the transmission top shaft is not coupled to the transmission input shaft unless the fifth gear is selected. In the other posters picture the shafts are seperated behind the second gear back on top shafts. Next gear back slides forward to lock shafts to each other for fifth.
