Heyas, Trying to get my engines timed. I haven't got a hit yet. Just wondering if my timing mark is screwed up. The hole in the pulley (which I assume is the timing mark) lines up just after outward pressure is felt. Seems like the spark should go just after the pressure goes away instead. Another problem, I have just a straight distributor setup and two magnetos. I get good sparks with the distributor setup but the magnetos don't do anything. I am thinking I am not installing the magneto correctly. The service manual says that after you install it, you have to let it go around once. Then loosen it and let the impulse coupler trip. I tried to do this but nothing happens. Is there like a switch or something? I assume something has to be done, since the rotor like jumps around instead of a smooth circular motion. Of course, I don't get any spark with the magneto setup at this point. I don't know, any thoughts on timing would be helpful. -Greg
