51 Super A Mowed the front yard today for about an hour with no problem. Took a break for about 15 minutes and when I tried to start her up the battery was too low and had to use the crank. Took a few turns but she fired up after about 5 tries. After running for about another 2 minutes she started to miss bad enough that I thought she might quit. Pushed the clutch in and the idle increases and even though it still sounds like its missing it's running so fast you can barely notice. Problem seems to come and go. Since I have never done any work on the ignition apart of the tractor is this where I should start or What ? Side bar. I do believe the voltage regulator needs replacing. Even with a low battery it wont put out enough juice to recharge the battery unless I give it a rap with a knuckle. This used to work well now it seems to take more and more to get it to work. Would this have anything to do with it missing ? Thanks in advance for any help !
