Got Big Bertha running...

Finally got my old H (47 model) to running tonight. Cleaned the carb, cleaned plugs, ran new wires/battery cables, and countless hours to no avail. Finally realizing getting no spark (old plug out of cylinder to check for arcing) I knew it was in ignition. Opened up distributo for look at points, and found them pitted and nearly no gap. Opened up gap, and moved to little better tip away from pits, and she fired right up on first turnover of starter. YEAH!!!!! Thanks for all the tips and help I have gotten from this board. Now I need to order the tune up kit, put my new plugs and spark plug wires, new coil, and rebuild kit into my carb, and she will be ready to run. Heck then I only have to put my new tires on front end, get rears patched up, some sanding, cleaning, painting, and she will be looking good. Can you tell I'm stoked?
