I recently purchased a 1955 Farmall 300 and upon checking the engine oil it was discovered that it was way over full and the hydraulic oil was getting into the crankcase. I removed the Pesco Hydra-Touch pump and the pump shaft seal was not seated properly and rubbing on the drive gear. Is it possible for the live pump relief valve to be defective and force the shaft seal out to rub against the drive gear? Where is the live pump relief valve located on this tractor so I might check it out? Thank you.
