A couple of weeks ago I posted a message asking for the alternate serial number locations on F-20 tractors. I can't remember who responded, but I did find a serial number stamped on the LH frame rail just behind the bellhousing, and not on the RH frame rail near the RF engine mount as the responder advised. I checked another F-20 and its serial number is stamped on the left rail also. It turns out mine has a 4 digit serial number, made in 1934. This is several years off from my estimate which was based on the V belt fan, (late '38, or '39). My block is a replacement (no serial number stamped on the pad) with late innards. Thanks to the original repsonder, I love detective work!
