Believe it, Baldwin filters are the best. We took several OEM filters as well as aftermarket filters to the task once by sawing them in half with a bandsaw. We found that cheap filters are cheap for a reason, and that if they clog which wouldn't be hard, it was questionable as to whether the bypass would work well either. The filtering media in some filters was not all that either. Some of us with oil pressure gauges on our rigs found that pressure after startup came up faster with baldwin
