Re: lst question: I would think that a good accurate weld would be OK. Make sure that duckbill is smooth so it works freely. You might try Bates Corp 800 248 2955 for a replacement (used).
Re: 2nd question: rad brace attaches to tab on back of upper tank of radiator and runs back along valve cover thru a hole on casting that supports steering shaft. Should be able to find one of these.
Re: 3rd Question: Don't know much about the diesel side of MD's so can't help. Try Bates Corp or your CIH dealer.
