Help please! I'm re-wiring my 45 A with starting and lighting and have replaced the generator and volatage regulator. When I purchased the tractor it had a non-standard set-up (solonoid and starter button) so I've started from scratch. The new regulator has a "L" as well as the standard posts for a total of 4. Is there any time I would need the "L" for anything? I can't find any mention of the "L" in any of the manuals, but was told to run the field wire from the ammeter to it then run a wire from the "F" regulator post to the "F" on the generator. Also, is there a way to test the ammeter itself for proper operation? Thanks for everything I've already learned here.
