Bill its over 10 years since I had one. Will put what i think I remember, maybe someone with a fresher memory will post. After the pump is removed the drive shaft will pull out or may come out when pump is removed. Seals can be replaced on the shaft. Shaft has a place on it to match the inside when putting it back, make sure they line up. Under the pump theres a adapter that is turned to adjust the drive gear play, O ring under it and another on top. If no engine oil is leaking out and gear play is okay don't remove the adapter. If drive shaft under pump is left in place the pump shaft will only go back in the same gear time. If pump drive is removed put the slots back in the same direction. Best to remove the timing window on pump first and turn engine until marks are lined up, then do not move engine anymore and line marks back up when installing.
