Well that really can not happen as the steering system and the remote hyd. system are not connected in any way other then they all use the same sump. So you are having other problems . First check the level of the hyd. oil then replace the filter . Then start the tractor and run the engine at around 1500 RPM and turn the steering wheel to the left non stop for a bit as this will bleed the air out , that is one way to get the MCV pump to bleed the air out and is less messy , our yo can remove the small plug on the back side of the MCV valve with the engine OFF then start the engine BUT let me tell you it will dump a lot of oil REAL fast when it does pick up prime and make a huge mess before you can get the engine shut down . You can add three to five gallon of hyd. oil and over fill the system and see if it will pick up prime due to it sucking air due to a bad O/Ring some place between the pick up tube in the rear end to the split between the spe4ed transmission and the range transmission , or due to a slight air leak at the filter and maybe the fact that the MCV pump is getting a little on the weak side . The pick up tube could even have a small crack where the bracket was welded to the tube and the adding of the three to five gallon over full will cover the tube and remove that problem for now and being five over will not hurt anything but your wallet when it comes time to change and refill.
