I "discovered" some really awesome stuff for removing old grease/oil... the kind you find coating the inside of transmissions, final drives, etc. A machinist friend actualy told me about it, and I bought some to give it a try. Its "greased lightning." It comes in a 40 oz spray bottle and is carried by Dollar General. (if you have one of those around) It was a mere $3.99. I'm currently working on a Farmall Cub, and the finals are always a greasy mess inside. I sprayed the inside with this stuff, let it sit over night, sprayed it again, then took it to the car wash. They cleaned up perfectly on the inside. I guess its an "emulsifier", making the oil water soluable. Much better than experience I've had using the hot car wash and some "spray can" grease removers, such as sold by O'reilly's etc. Just thought I'd pass it on.
