A little out of place but the right brand,.....I have a 1962 "Original Cub Cadet" A small operation but cute and handy. I know it is not charging because it dies when it does not have the battery connected. This system is a standard 12 Volt. How do I check the generator and or regulator. It is a similar setup to the full cub but in 12 volt. Can I put a tester right on the post of the generator and expect a reading? where do I test the regulator, I have never understood which terminal is what. BTW it is a starter generator. I usually don't get good results from the Garden tractor site. besides it has a huge IH symbol on the front :o)
