Super A elec sys

Just started working on a Super A I recently bought. Need to know if Pos or neg ground. Took cap off from distributor, no points, is this system a Mag? Also,took all plugs out, grounded a couple of them and I get no spark when cranking engine. Is the wire to the distributor supposed to be hot when switch is on? Thanks, if I can get past the electrical system the rest is a piece of cake.
