Hi my brother has a 454 and the newer version 495. He put a 2350 loader on the 495 and within 10 years he had sheared off almost every bolt on the frontend and broke the power steering bracket off. He used the 495 to feed silage, round bales and various farm chores. The 454 has over 15,000 hrs and has some wear on the frontend but no severe problems. A few years ago he bought a 3230 (newer version of 584) and we transferred the 2350 loader to the 3230 and it is not having any of the problems of the 495. The problem with a heavy loader on 454 is the swept back front axle. The swept back front axle is great for manuverability but with a loader on front the weight of the loader is much farther foward of the front wheels putting more stress on the front axle. It is the teeter totter effect. The industrial version of 454 has a much heavier straight front axle.
