Was using a 46 M Farmall clipping a field of clover with a frail cutter and shifted out of 4th into neutral fast to keep the cutter running. The rail slipped on in to 5th gear and that brought everything to a halt. It was a hot July day and over two miles from home. I was young so it was walk home or fix it (happened 51 years ago). Took shifter out and and used a rod and lined up the rails. You could set shifter in 5th gear spot and bring it back to neutral.
