Well Doug the plug is hot enough. You can get a good spark on the frame but not particulary when under compression. You have swapped plugs but still the same problem at the same cylinder. I would look at the cap real careful where the plug wire plugs in. Is the cap new? I am running out of airspeed, altitude, fuel and ideas. I have not worked with magnetos so we'll have to get help from some of the other Farmallers.
