I just bought my first tractor, a 1945 A, and am now hooked. From what I can tell my electrical system has been changed from original; it's still 6 volts but it has a silver push button starter switch just below and left of the on-off switch (which is not original as it has 2 wires coming from it). My switch box has 3 click stoops. How can I tell if the electrical system is charging the battery? Should the lights work only when the engine is on? I'm still waiting for my ordered manuals to come for a wiring diagram, the left headlight doesn't have a wire to it, where does it come from? I also need advice on something to drag a horse arena with, is there anything that could be raised and lowered by crank/hand (poor mans 3 point)? Thanks in advance. Barry Fogel
