The firing order is stamped on the block in front of the filter 1342 with #1 on the cap at around the 1 oclock position looking from the rear and facing towards the radiator. The rotor turns clockwise. Remove the #1 plug take the cap off the mag. Using the crank turn the engine over till the rotor points to the #1 position you can see when the piston comes to the top with a flashlite. Turning the crank more the rotor will snap. Turning the crank more the rotor will advance to the next position and stop you can remove #3 sparkplug turning engine slow till you see the piston come up. The rotor will now be at the 4 oclock position. Turning engine slow you will again hear and see the mag snap when #3 gets to the top. You mite want to remove all the plugs before turning the engine over it will make turning with the crank easier. I am assuiming that you havent removed the mag or have replaced the points. If you have the wires in their correct position on the cap and going to the correct plug your engine should run. If not give me a call 319-430-3907 and i can walk you thru it again. I use a small mag lite to look into the cycls but a flaslite will also work. good luck.
