I am fixing up this IHC planter. Someone suggested it is a model 250. It looks like it may have been cut down from a 450 (4 row) at one time. I was able to put some case fertilizer hoppers on and get them in working order. What I do not know is how the drive hooked up on the planter.
The way the idler sprocket (that I believe is for the fertilizer) sets the bracket holding the idler looks like it needs bent one way or the other to either line up with the main planter box drive chain (then that chain would need links added) or if the other way, there is another sprocket down on the bottom axle that could be for running the fertilizer. Would anyone have a manual of the hook up? I would be glad to pay you for emailing me a page or two that would show this setup. I hate to start bending on something without knowing which way it should go. Does anyone maybe even have a photo of their similar planter and how it is set up? Thanks.
