This whole thread is ambiguous because you won't tell us what you have for a motor. If it is a '52 and looks something like an H, it is actually a Super H and you are all set with the 3-5/8 kits. You can also get big bore kits for the H as well, but they will only be 3-7/16. If you can't find C-169 cast into the right side of the block near the fourth cylinder, you have a H motor. Either way all you need are the right kits and standard gaskets. Nearly everyone who rebuilds their motor goes for the big bore thin sleeve kits. Forget about boring your block unless it is damaged.
