This is a general question that I'm just curious enough about to post. I presume that many of you guys have read or flipped through Randy Leffingwell's IH Tractor book. Guy Fay verified the accuracy of this book months ago. What I'm wondering is what you all think about the readability and appropriateness of the material. Let me explain. The books spends quite a lot of time on the very early models up to the F-30 or so, and blazes through the second half of the century in a few chapters. Actually, the early tractors are quite interesting and the time dedicated is probably half-penance for having glossed over the subject in favor of the Letter series, and half-recognition of the fact that they played an integral role in the final development of the tractors we use today. The pictures are great, as well. I get a kick out of the chromed up 1468, and that 4-wheel drive M seems like a wild ride. I am especially amazed by the 7 carburator 15-30 tractor--just imagine troubleshooting a fuel problem in one of those! I've this book for over 3 months now, and am just starting to dig into the meat of the text. I'm posting this question out of sheer curiosity. Thanks for listening and I hope some folks reply, Chris
