Well it is not quiet as easy as it seams . When i pull a range transmission cover i also pull the side cover on the left side of the rear end behind the left step , the one with the clipped corner You can either drain the speed transmission to drop the oil level or just pull the cover and loose about a gallon if the oil level is not over full.The reason for pulling this cover is so ya can remove the rev. shift fork as when ya pull the cover you pull the rev. shift rod along with the top cover . Also if your tractor has been upgraded with a spring loaded park lock you must first block up the lever for the park lock i use a 1/2 nut for this to hold it in the unlock position then using a stiff bladed putty knife i drive it in between the cover and the rearend housing to break the gasket.then either with the help of and extra pair of hands or two pry bars try to come straight up then lift it up and off . Ya may find a broken or missing roller when ya get it off and maybe a broken or missing spring . Need more help ya know where to find me.
