Super A smoking

I unstuck our old SA and I knew it would smoke a bit but I had no idea how bad it smokes blue. I know that I need a rebuild but college comes first and I only have a year so it will wait....my question is when I was plowing my garden today( I have to move it so I don't want the grass to grow....so a muddy plow it was) and it had plenty of power but when I put it under load the smoke stopped and it burned clear. When I pulled up the plow to turn around it smoked, as soon as it went under load it cleared again?!?!? Why? only thing I can think of is that when under a load the extra compression helped seal the rings?!?!?!? ANY ideas??? thanks.....-p
