There are some flaw's in the data used as reference in this very controversial topic.
Record keeping is the biggest hole.
How many years have they been collecting and keeping accurate records of all the various weather phenomenon.
Today with media coverage and instant access/retrieval of this information discounts what used to take months, even years to gather and analyze. Telegraph and horse back letter carrier were the methods of the day. Mix that with hear say and word of mouth you have a rather mixed bag of 'general' information only. This doesn't even account for how much went undocumented entirely.
Much like the right-to life campaigns and what come first, chicken or the egg. Its another fanatical cause for these folks with a little too much time on their hands, to worry about.
There is no doubt we are trashing the earth and Global Warming is indeed a fact. So were all the other weather extremes that plagued us that went undocumented and were forgotten about in time.
Telling farmer brown to not push a diesel tractor or drive a gas burning car to get supplies is NOT a solution. Its barking up the wrong tree.
Farmer brown agree's. As a result you have:
- A little less produce on the grocery store shelf. Cost of groceries increases.
- There is a little extra fuel for someone else who may be even more wasteful the originally intended.
- No income from the land so taxes will not be paid.
- Another family faces mortgage foreclosure and is added to that financial load that is putting us in economic financial decay to begin with.
Do that math.
These same folks need to focus on real acts that are achievable solutions in their cause.
