Jason, If you're a complete newbie to tractors and have NO innate mechanical or diagnostic capabilities, never driven a tractor of any sort, then it's a good idea I think to have a reputable mechanic (who works at or is familiar with tractors, e.g. someone from Alderman's in Lennon Mi.) go with you to check it out. You can learn a lot, however, from those who have such experience on this forum with this series of tractors (e.g. JB2, Bernard leM...... from Quebec) & they are very willing to offer help on this subject.
