I disagree on the use of the TA. We used the TA as much or more in the field as not, and our 350 ran at least 10 years before having to do anything with it. The worst thing to do to a TA is to let it slip going in and out of low range. Dealer told us when you engage or disengage the lever, don't move it slow, especially going back to high range. Release the lever and let it go.
