Your idea does have merit in my humble opinion, but EFI throttlebody is beyond my expertise. Things that you might need to consider, exhaust and intake manifolds were one casting on most of the older Farmalls/Internationals and many other makes. Also, there is the matter of the governor linkage. I suspect fuel injection would decrease the normal power curve variations under load of these old four bangers. However, I don't know if it would be sufficient to disconnect the governor. Probably the biggest stumbling block to your idea is the fact that old tractor owners tend to want to keep things "original" even at the expense of much money and remarkably poor performance. If the truth were to be known, it is a wonderful excuse for owning an old piece of junk, instead of putting down the big bucks for a modern tractor with far superior technology. I drive a 1979 Ford F-150 and I find myself telling folks that I keep her because they just don't make 'em like that anymore. Truth is, I can't afford $25,000 to replace her. So, I suspect, beyond a few curious soles, there would not exist a market large enough to invest in the time and trouble to adapt to EFI.
