A Wiring - Again

Thanks to Bob M for posting the wiring diagram for early A/B..just what the doctor ordered! Couple more questions if anyone can help: What was left of my A's wiring had a jumper from the F terminal on the generator to the F terminal on the voltage regulator. The diagram posted does not show anything attached to the F terminal of the regulator. Should I remove this jumper, or was it omitted by accident when IH put out that diagram? Also: It was nice to see some of the info down below the diagram, especially the bit about "disconnect the lead from the "F" terminal of the generator" if running without a battery (as I have for years). Is this the lead that is marked "field cable" in the picture? I hope so...otherwise I've been burning up my generator! (I always wondered what that extra wire dangling there was for.) Thanks, Dave
