Hi Eric, 385 has same shift mechanism as 495 go to caseih.com then service and parts and then parts and search for 385 and under Drive Train Pages 7-22 & 7-26 show pictures of the shift mechanism. The speed transmission is behind the clutch housing and under the battery box. The shift control rods go under the cover on top of the transmission. Check to see if the proper shift rod is being pushed or pulled for 3-4. Fwd/Rev/Hi/Lo-Range transmission is under the front of the seat. Some people have broken off the shift lever that goes into the transmission see following part number: item 16 3129172R1 ARM ASSY. ARM ASSY, speed shift actuating 3rd/4th.
