I know this not a tractor but didn"t know where else to turn to for advise. I have a 1650 cub cadet lawn tractor with a 16 horse kohler. Tried to start it. All it would do is fire a little at no throttle and back fire though the carb. Would not fire at all when opening the throttle. Thought maybe jumped time but cant imagine how with gears. Thought maybe stuck valve but not the problem. Cleaned the carb, removed head, checked the valves but to no avail didn"t help. Before I tare her down just wondering if it could be electrical or something stupid that i dont see. Not sure what the points should be set at. But i dont think that is the problem as it has fire to the plug but on the other hand cant tell what it is doing on the inside of the head.If anybody can help i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks A country boy in ny
