I am wanting to buy a Farmall Cub Low-Boy to use for mowing and utility work around my little farm. I have used A-C Model B's for years, but have gotten to the point that it is hard for me to get up on the tractors. I am looking for something easier to get on to and off of, and A-C IB's are not easy to find nor get replacement parts for. I am not very familiar with the Cub Low-Boy, and I have a few questions if anyone can help me. 1. Do all Low-Boys have hydraulic systems? I want to install a Worksaver 3-point hitch to use with the little 4 foot box blade, drag blade, carry-all, etc. that I use with the Model B's. 2. What years were Low-Boys produced and were they all Farmall Red? Farmalls should be red, not yellow and white. 3. Is there anything that a potential Cub Low-Boy buyer should look for that may be a potential problem in the future that I would not look for if buying any other brand of used tractor? 4. Is there a disadvantage to the Low-Boy as opposed to the regular Cub. Thanks for any help that you can provide.
