Got home yesterday afternoon and of course right to work. Dad and brother were spraying crops, Dad has the 1086 and Blumhart pull-type sprayer, and brother borrowed a CIH high wheel sprayer. Takes a bit of work to keep two sprayers full of water and chemicals...

Then today it was time to work the trees as the weeds were quite overgrown. So I thought I would get my H out of storage and use it for the job... first problem was it being boxed in by other implements so I used the C to get those out of the way, got the tractor out. All four tires a bit low, aired them up, checked oil and water, etc. Off we go to hook up the chisel plow. Low tires on that, too. :cry:
Had a few rounds to go and hear a clunk and tractor stops moving... I thought I had tore something up in the rearend, but just broke the wheel mounting wedge. Sheared the keys right off!
Took me a couple hours to fix, got another wheel and wedge from the parts H on the back 40. Still need to buy or make a key the right size for the wheel part. Key is built into the mounting wedge.
Even got Dad's H out of storage and brought the haybine into the yard to get it ready for haying (not that there is much out there for hay).
Only problem is not enough hydraulic outlets or capacity to run the swing!
How about IH vs. JD?
Not used to this manual labor type work, quite tired tonight but it is a good tired.
