Howdy, boys: You know the half-round sector gear (19 tooth) which engages the worm gear in the steering box on top of the front bolster? Well, mine is badly worn and I wish to replace it with a newer, better (32 tooth) full circle gear which I have on hand - thanks to ebay.
My question is: How the dickens do I pull that gear? I can't see a way to get a puller on it, since there is so little clearance between the gear and the steering box. Somebody must have figured out a way to tackle this one. Please share you method(s) of success.
