It can be done by dropping the hyd pump and working up thru BUT THAT PUMP IS HEAVY FOR ONE PERSON. Myself due to the age of the tractor and the ware on the flywheel i like to SPLIT the tractor and send the flywheel out and have the face ground and the step cut to the correct step hight . To split the tractor ya need a good set of splitting stands that can be made with out a lot of trouble and with out to much exp. A couple of good heavy steel or cast casters and a couple of trailer jacks some 2x2x 1/4 and a pice of 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x1/4 box tubing two pices of 1/4 3-/8 plate steel that are 8x12for future hole drilling and two trailer jacks to mount on each side and mount the casters to for leveling one floor jack or bottle jack and some wood 4x4and it becomes a one man job that would be easier on ya . Now if i was better at this computer thing i could draw up a set of plans for said splitting stands for you to fallow and in a few hours a welder a torch or band saw or chop saw a drill press and you would have a set of stands that could handle your H all the way up to a 1586. And it would be SOOOo easy to split a tractor by yourself .
