I believe the Locktite will work if (and only if) the bearing and shaft are in a loose press fit condition. This means that the bearing must be tight enough on the shaft to be snug enough to require more than hand pressure to assemble it to the shaft. A PVC pipe and a block of wood to drive it on. The material provides shear resistance and will prevent motion along the shaft, but it has little capability to hold radial loads. It basically fills tiny gaps between the micro surfaces of the two metal parts without the ability to be the substitute shaft itself. Plasma spray welding of the surface, and regroving the shaft for the snap ring is both reasonable to expect to work, and modest incost to fix a part you cannot find. It also is not destructive to the shaft if done by a qualified applicator. JimN
