Well, yesterday I finally got around to getting the '44 H I recently bought ready to turn over. Had to get new rubber on the front and one rear wheel, change out the fluids, replace the plugs, etc. The wiring is pretty bad so I didn't even try to start it with a battery (all-fuel, magneto with generator). Had it towed while I tried to turn it over in 5th gear. The rear wheels locked up when I let the clutch out, slid down the gravel drive, and the one on the grass turned backwards when the one on the drive bit. Needless to say, didn't do that very long. Sounds stuck to me. Any suggestions? I'm a shade tree mechanic but I'm not afraid to take it apart. I rebuilt my 8N last year, first attempt at anything like that and it started on the first crank so I'm optimistic. Any advice and detailed instructions greatly appreciated. Thanks, Don
